Black granite called cosmic gold.
Natural granite looks amazing; there's nothing like it. Granite, to me, is the Rolls-Royce of materials—it's fantastic and comes from all over the world in different colors. It looks incredible and is truly hard-wearing until you encounter nasty vandals scratching the granite on purpose; it must have been done with a knife. My company, Granite Worktops UK Ltd, started nearly 40 years ago manufacturing granite work surfaces only; quartz was not invented at that time. There is nothing that can match natural granite for endurance. I am one of the first companies offering granite and marble as kitchen and bathroom work surfaces.
This picture of a bathroom worktop was in a restaurant in Leeds city center, where somebody had carved their initials into the surface. We took our equipment, polished the surface, and completely removed the initials of the culprit from it. The initials on the surface were K.N. I think he was called "knob head."
