Repairing damage to the edge and surface
This white quartz worktop in Penistone had a large chip affecting both the edge and the adjoining surface. The damage also interrupted the chamfer along the edge.
The repair
We filled the damaged area with colour-matched resin, shaped the repair to follow the existing edge and polished the repaired area. The project photographs show the missing section before work and the reshaped edge afterwards.
The result
The damaged section was filled and the edge reshaped. A chipped edge does not always mean replacing the whole worktop. The material, pattern and size of the damage determine the repair options and how closely the finish can blend in.
